Beloit Man Faces Charges In March Clinton Wreck
A Beloit man who caused a head-on crash back in March in Clinton has been charged. The Beloit Daily News reports that 44-year old Baltazar Giles, is facing charges of knowingly operating a motor vehicle without a license, causing bodily harm. The incident occurred back on March 15 and caused multiple injuries. Giles was driving northbound on Highway 140 just before 2:30 PM when he reportedly crossed the center line and hit a vehicle head-on. The woman occupant of that vehicle suffered a fractured rib, laceration to her leg, and a perforated intestine. Giles told deputies his vehicle slid out of its lane possibly due to snow or ice.
