Beloit Man Charged with 7th Offense OWI

A Beloit man was charged following a June 9th arrest with his 7th offense OWI according to a Rock County court complaint. Witnesses informed police that Christopher Eddy was involved in a crash in the 2600 block of Cranston road. When police arrived and talked with Eddy thy allegedly smelled intoxicants, performed field sobriety tests and took him into custody. Court records showed he was convicted of OWI offenses in 1990, 1992, 1994, 2001, 2005 and 2014. In Wisconsin an OWI is a felony upon the 4th offense, no court date has been set.
