Beloit Man Charged After Pursuit

A Beloit man is facing charges after leading officers on a chase. According to the Rock County Sheriff’s Office, just before Noon on Tuesday, officers with the City of Beloit Police Department responded to the 900 block of Tenth Street where a felony suspect, 26-year old David Quinones lived. The suspect was wanted on multiple charges. As officers arrived on scene, Quinones fled in his BMW, and fled south at a high rate of speed. Quinones attempted to pass in a no passing zone near the state line, and the pursuit was discontinued after a little over a mile. Quinones then struck a 2000 Buick sedan driven by a 52-year old man, before going through a front yard, striking two parked vehicles and crashing into a detached garage. Police located Quinones hiding in the garage 20 minutes later. He was treated for minor injuries and is being held in the Rock County Jail.
