Arrests In East Troy After Traffic Stop

Two people are in jail and two others were cited after a traffic stop on I-43 near Townline Road.

The Town of East Troy Police Department says on Sunday around Midnight, officers stopped a car for going 85 in a 70 heading northbound.

31-year old Avery Boyd of Rockford was arrested for carrying a concealed weapon and cited for speeding, while 18-year old Paris Parker, of Rockford, was arrested for possession of stolen property, firearm as well as for possession of marijuana.

Two other individuals in the vehicle were cited for weapons and drug charges, they have been identified as 53-year old Brenda Parker of Rockford who was cited for marijuana possession, and 19-year old Sharmane Taylor of Greenwood, MS was cited with possession of marijuana and open intoxicants.

Boyd and Parker are being held in the Walworth County Sheriff's Office Lockup
