Add Sharon To The List; Burn Ban In Effect Until Further Notice

The Village of Sharon Police Department has announced that a burn ban is in effect until further notice.

The burn ban is due to the dry conditions in Walworth County, which is several inches below average on rainfall this year. The department says that outside fires are not permitted.

Sharon joins the Towns of Delavan, Geneva and Linn so far who have announced burn bans. The Town of Geneva as we reported yesterday said that burning was limited to back porch grilling only.

The Sharon Police Department says they will update when the burn ban has been lifted.
