Accident Causes Fire In Beloit

Firefighters from both fire departments in Beloit responded to a car accident that caused a fire. Authorities said a single vehicle accident occurred at Burton and Sixth Streets. Units were informed the car was on fire while responding to the call. Firefighters extinguished the fire and everyone was out of the car. There was no word on any injuries, but fire officials said that an ambulance from Beloit Township assisted in patient care.
