According to an update from the Whitewater Police Department, beginning on October 24 residents in the 262 area code in southeastern Wisconsin will be required to dial 10 digits, which would be the area code plus the phone number, for all local calls. Beginning October 24, local calls dialed with only seven digits may not be completed.
